At BBS Katrina has worked with clients across a range of industries, providing a variety of public relations and communication services. She has provided publicity services and strategic advice to growing brand Dreamy Donuts, organised successful events for Brisbane Marketing and Delfin Lend Lease, has provided media training to the Queensland Cancer Fund, and is currently working on start-up communications materials for Queensland’s new Urban Land Development Authority.

Media Relations

  • Managed international and Australia-wide media interest in CareFlight Doctor Ed O'Loughlin – the first doctor at the scene of Steve Irwin’s tragic death on the Great Barrier Reef
  • Gained media coverage worth more than $1 million Equivalent Advertising Value for the Queensland Government’s 2007 Queensland Week program of events

Event Management

  • Managed media conferences for State Government representatives (Premier, Ministers and Members of Parliament), industry and business representatives, and community organisations at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH), Australia’s largest teaching hospital
  • Organised Brisbane Marketing’s 2007 Brisbane on the World Stage Gala event for 300 national and international guests at the Gallery of Modern Art

Copywriting

  • Researched, wrote and managed production of Annual Review documents, research reports and other marketing collateral material for RBWH and CareFlight
  • Researched, wrote and managed the production of website and all communication materials for the new Urban Land Development Authority

Media Training

  • Developed media protocols and guidelines for CareFlight’s doctors, paramedics, pilots and other staff

  • Katrina Cutler has university qualifications in Politics and in Journalism. She joined BBS from the not-for-profit sector. Prior to that she worked as the Manager of Public Affairs for the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital – Australia's largest teaching hospital. She also developed an in depth understanding of Parliamentary and Legislative processes while working in a Queensland Government Ministerial Office for several years
