A former journalist, Jane is recognized as a specialist in issues management and strategic communication planning. She plays a key role in client service at her company BBS Public Relations, particularly through government liaison and corporate strategies for major clients across all industries.

- Jane’s business achievements were recognized when she was named Queensland’s Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year by the Paris-based organization, Women Chiefs of Enterprise.
Adjunct Professor to the University of Queensland’s School of Communication and Journalism
- Jane currently holds the position of Adjunct Professor at the University of Queensland's School fo Communication and Journalism.
Expo 1988
- Jane developed an international reputation and forged strong relationships throughout government and corporate Australia in her role as the only female Director of the senior management and planning team for the International Exposition of 1988.
Order of Australia
- In 1989, she was made a Member of the Order of Australia in the Australia Day Honors list, recognising her long-term contribution to the community.
Honorary Consul for France
- Since 2001, she has been Honorary Consul for France in Queensland and has been Founding Chairman of the Premier’s Literary Awards since its inception in 1998. She was the first woman in 103 years to Chair the Board of Trustees of the Queensland Art Gallery. She is also Deputy Chairman of Opera Queensland and sits on a number of charitable boards and committees.
